FM Systems
 |
For particularly marked hearing problems or unfavourable conditions (university lecture rooms, conferences) Frequency Modulation systems can be used. |
These systems consist of a radiomicrophone to be placed near the desired sound source (speaker, television, etc.) and a receiver to be connected to the hearing-aid. The radiomicrophone transmits what the receiver picks up, thus enormously improving the signal/noise ratio and providing optimum hearing without interference. Modern technology has also produced very small and compact radiomicrophones as well as receivers whose size enables them to be connected directly to the hearing-aid, thus eliminating the need for connection and feed wires. |
